Town Wide Garage Sale (7:00 AM)

It's not too late to sign up for the third annual Town Wide Garage Sale, which will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 9am - 5pm in the residential areas of Colma. Please contact the Recreation Services Department by May 9, 2013 at the Colma Community Center 650.985.5678 if you're interested in having a garage sale.
The Town will advertise the Town Wide Garage Sale through various media outlets to all potential shoppers. That way you do not need to make and put out signs advertising your individual Garage Sale.
There is no cost to participate in this event; we just ask that everyone who intends to have a garage sale sign up at the Colma Community Center that way your garage sale appears on the Town Garage Sale map for all shoppers to see.
In order to allow more parking for shoppers we ask that garage sale participants park their car (s) along Clark Street, F Street, Hillside Blvd, and El Camino Real on the day of the event. For more information, please contact us at 650.985.5678.
Garage Sale Shoppers
On Friday night, May 10, after 6:00pm a detailed map of all Garage Sale locations can be downloaded from the Town of Colma website; or you can come to the Sterling Park Recreation Center, 427 F Street, Colma, CA 94014 on Saturday, May 11 at 8:30am to pick up the list of participating households and Garage Sale locations.

Town Wide Clean Up Day (8:00 AM)
Join in the Community Fun and sign up for our Town Wide Clean Up Day. The Town Wide Clean Up Day is your opportunity to take pride in your Town by helping fellow residents and staff in cleaning up the streets of Colma. Residents along with Colma staff, will walk various locations in Colma picking up trash and recycling materials and afterwards we will celebrate our Clean Town with a family fun BBQ at Sterling Park. All participants will receive a Town Clean Up Day T-shirt and around 12:00pm we’ll gather together for an awesome BBQ lunch. Volunteers need to register for the Town Wide Clean Up Day at the Colma Community Center by May 16, 2013

Also, should you have leftover items from the Town Wide Garage Sale or just a bunch of stuff you want to get rid of, now is your chance to donate or dispose of them at our Town Wide Clean Up Day. The Town is partnering with local agencies setting up a collection point for Colma residents to dispose of Universal waste, documents for shredding, trash, recyclable materials and other items for donation collection point will be located at the Corp Yard at 601 F Street in the Sterling Park Neighborhood. All residents must show a current Colma ID Card when disposing of waste, recyclables or trash and each household will be limited to 2 Cubic Yards (1 standard pick up truck bed) of material to dispose. Residents can also call the Colma Community Center to schedule a pick up of one large appliance to dispose of on Friday, May 17, 2013. All requests for large appliance pick up items must be made prior to Tuesday, May 14, 2013. For more information please call the Colma Community Center at (650) 985-5678.
