On June 8, 2020 at approximately 9:27 pm, Colma Police Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Hillside Boulevard in Colma. Upon arrival, officers located one victim with gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began to render medical aid to the victim at the scene and he was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim, 26-year old Jaquan Cheatham of Citrus Heights, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The motive and circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, but this is an isolated incident with no threat to the general public. No suspect has been identified or apprehended at this time.
