Identity Theft

On 04/20/19, two female suspects used stolen credit cards at businesses in the Serra Center in Colma and the Serramonte Mall in Daly City, to purchase merchandise in the amount of $2,046.43.  During an immediate investigation, the two suspects were located within the parking lot of the Serramonte Mall.  The suspects still had all the merchandise from the 11 different fraudulent purchases made from 6 different stores.  The victims credit cards and personal information was found in the possession of the suspects.  Both suspects were booked into the San Mateo County Jail on multiple felony charges.

Vehicle Pursuit

On 04/25/19, a Colma Police Officer attempted to conduct a vehicle stop near the intersection of Hillside Boulevard and “A” Street on a white Yamaha motorcycle after observing a vehicle code violation.  The driver fled at a high rate of speed, attempting to evade the officer, and failing to obey traffic signals and the posted speed limit. Due to the reckless nature of the suspect’s actions and concern for the public’s safety, the officer discontinued the pursuit. The rider of the dirt bike was later located by other Colma Officers who were able to detain the suspect until he could be identified as the rider of the motorcycle.  The suspect was arrested/cited and released on his promise to appear before a judge as he was in violation of evading a police officer.
