The driver of the motorcycle, who was not wearing a safety helmet, failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed, attempting to evade the officer, and failing to obey traffic signals.  The fleeing motorcycle almost struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk and due to the reckless nature of the suspect’s actions and concern for the public’s safety, the pursuit was discontinued.   The officer was able to identify the driver of the motorcycle at time of the pursuit and an arrest warrant has been requested.
