Crimes Investigated

Vehicle Burglary

During the month of December, there were two (2) reports of vehicles being burglarized, one within a shopping center parking lot and the other on the 2000 block of Hillside Boulevard.

Stolen Vehicle

During the month of December two (2) vehicles were reported stolen. Both vehicles were reported stolen from dealerships in the Town of Colma.

Alcohol/Drugs

During the month of December, patrol officers made a total of seventeen (17) arrests for drug and alcohol related charges, which included two (2) arrests for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

On 12/17/17 at approximately 2213 hours, Colma Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Colma Boulevard on a report of a Petty Theft that just occurred.  Officers arrived and contacted two suspects who were inside a vehicle that was determined to be stolen out of San Francisco.  The suspects were arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle and the theft that just occurred at the business.

Money Scam

On 12/19/17 Colma Police Officers responded to the 900 block of Serramonte Boulevard on a report of a white male subject who had deceived a victim of money, claiming they needed it for a tow truck.  Hours later the victim realized they were scammed when the suspect never returned to pay back the money.  Colma Police Detectives are conducting further investigation into the crime.

Marijuana Sales to a Minor

On 12/25/17 at approximately 1346 hours, Colma Police Officers responded to the 400 block of “F” Street on the report of a suspicious vehicle possibly involved in narcotics. Officers arrived on scene and contacted four males inside of the vehicle.  Further investigation revealed that one of the males had sold marijuana to a juvenile passenger in the vehicle.  The driver was arrested for sales of marijuana to a minor.

County-Wide Efforts

The Police Department focused their patrol efforts in town by implementing a “Special Holiday Patrol” in the commercial shopping districts to deter vehicle burglaries and petty thefts.
