Crimes Investigated

Vehicle Burglary

During the month of March, there was one (1) report of a vehicle being burglarized.

Stolen Vehicle

During the month of March, there were no reports of vehicles being stolen.

Alcohol/Drugs

During the month of March, patrol officers made a total of twenty-seven (27) arrests for drug and alcohol related charges, which included nine (9) arrests for driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Grand Theft

On 03/09/18 Colma Police Officers initiated a grand theft investigation on the 100 block of Colma Boulevard.  The reporting party advised that over the last month a combined amount of $4,061.71 worth of merchandise had been stolen over several days by the suspect.  During the investigation the suspect returned to the area and was arrested while committing another theft.

Battery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On 03/12/18, Colma Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Collins Ave. on a report of a verbal argument. The verbal argument was between two males that worked together, which escalated into a physical altercation.  After the two males were separated by witnesses, one of the two picked up a tool and ran towards the other male while trying to assault him.  The fight was broken up by coworkers and the main suspect was arrested for assault.

Driving Under the Influence Collision

On 03/18/18 at approximately 0341 hours, Colma Police Officers responded to a traffic collision with injuries in the intersection of Serramonte Boulevard and Junipero Serra Boulevard.  One driver sustained major injuries to his head as a result of the collision and was taken to S.F General Hospital.  The driver of the other vehicle was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.  The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the jail.

County-Wide Efforts

Officer Francisco participated in one San Mateo County Saturation Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) detail.

Sergeant Nishita and Officer Mendoza participated in the San Mateo County Gang Task Force one-week deployment.
