CITY MANAGER’S UPDATE

Brian Dossey, City Manager

At the July 11, City Council Meeting, Council approved the El Camino Real Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Plan capital improvement project.  This new project was added to the Town’s FY2018-19 Capital Improvement Program after being awarded Senate Bill 1 (SB1) competitive grant funds in the amount of $199,192.  The grant requires the Town to provide matching funds in the amount of $25,808 for a total project cost of $225,000.  As many of you know the El Camino Real corridor that runs through Colma needs to improve pedestrian and bicycle accessibility as well as improve safety features along the roadway.  The planning grant will be administered by the California Department of Transportation and will assist the Town throughout the project.
